LEVEL 1: SEMINAR / INTRODUCTION TO WRAP / ORIENTATION TO WRAP & RECOVERY
Level 1 WRAP seminars offer a basic introduction to the 6 fundamental principles of recovery, provide an overview of the 7 components of a WRAP plan, and review the basic values and ethics of WRAP. This is an ideal opportunity for people who are interested in WRAP for their own lives, or those who are interested in implementing WRAP in their programs. Once a person has attended a Level 1 WRAP seminar, they are qualified to develop their own WRAP plan, work with another individual who is developing a WRAP plan, attend a WRAP class, and tell others about WRAP.
LEVEL 2: 8 WEEK / 12 WEEK WRAP CLASS
Adult WRAP Class: Open only to persons age 18 and over.Level 2 WRAP classes provide participants with a comprehensive presentation of the Copeland curriculum for developing a personal WRAP plan. The 8-week curriculum includes the key concepts of recovery and the 7 components of a WRAP plan. The 12-week curriculum includes additional material focused on specific recovery topics. Each individual session is typically 1.5 - 2 hours long. These classes are designed to be open to any individual who is interested in recovery and who desires to develop a personal WRAP plan. The program is simple and safe for anyone, regardless of the severity of their symptoms. Once a person has completed all of the sessions in a WRAP Class, they are qualified to become a 'buddy' to someone else who is working on their own personal WRAP. The individual is also qualified to be considered to become a trainee. This process is called 'shadowing' a certified WRAP Facilitator, and may lead to a person developing the skills to become a facilitator. The individual may also wish to apply to attend the 40-hour WRAP Facilitator's Training course. * Class: The term 'class' is preferred over the term 'group' in reference to WRAP. This is due to the fact that WRAP is an educational process, not therapy.
