I do this one on one in their counseling sessions with all of my clients. I filled it out so I could actually submit this info. They are ongoing with each client until done, adding new ones each time I take on a new client.

Level of WRAP Education (Teen/Adult)
  • Teen WRAP Class: Uniquely designed to meet the needs of youth. Contact the facilitator for more information.
  • Adult WRAP Class: Open only to persons age 18 and over.
LEVEL 1: SEMINAR / INTRODUCTION TO WRAP / ORIENTATION TO WRAP & RECOVERY

Level 1 WRAP seminars offer a basic introduction to the 6 fundamental principles of recovery, provide an overview of the 7 components of a WRAP plan, and review the basic values and ethics of WRAP. This is an ideal opportunity for people who are interested in WRAP for their own lives, or those who are interested in implementing WRAP in their programs. Once a person has attended a Level 1 WRAP seminar, they are qualified to develop their own WRAP plan, work with another individual who is developing a WRAP plan, attend a WRAP class, and tell others about WRAP.

LEVEL 2: 8 WEEK / 12 WEEK WRAP CLASS
Adult WRAP Class: Open only to persons age 18 and over.

Level 2 WRAP classes provide participants with a comprehensive presentation of the Copeland curriculum for developing a personal WRAP plan. The 8-week curriculum includes the key concepts of recovery and the 7 components of a WRAP plan. The 12-week curriculum includes additional material focused on specific recovery topics. Each individual session is typically 1.5 - 2 hours long. These classes are designed to be open to any individual who is interested in recovery and who desires to develop a personal WRAP plan. The program is simple and safe for anyone, regardless of the severity of their symptoms. Once a person has completed all of the sessions in a WRAP Class, they are qualified to become a 'buddy' to someone else who is working on their own personal WRAP. The individual is also qualified to be considered to become a trainee. This process is called 'shadowing' a certified WRAP Facilitator, and may lead to a person developing the skills to become a facilitator. The individual may also wish to apply to attend the 40-hour WRAP Facilitator's Training course. * Class: The term 'class' is preferred over the term 'group' in reference to WRAP. This is due to the fact that WRAP is an educational process, not therapy.

LEVEL 3: SHADOWING A CERTIFIED FACILITATOR
Adult WRAP Class: Open only to persons age 18 and over.

Level 3 WRAP education is completed by 'shadowing' a certified WRAP facilitator. In order to shadow a certified WRAP facilitator, an individual must have completed a full series of Level 2 WRAP classes, written their own WRAP plan, and received the recommendation of the facilitator. After participating as a Shadow, an individual is qualified to co-lead Level 1 or 2 WRAP with a certified facilitator. The individual may also apply to attend the 40-hour WRAP Facilitator's Training course.

LEVEL 4: WRAP FACILITATOR'S TRAINING
Adult WRAP Class: Open only to persons age 18 and over.

Level 4 WRAP Facilitators Training is a 40-hour (5-day) training course designed to train and certify individuals to become Certified WRAP Facilitators. Certified WRAP Facilitators are qualified to conduct Level 1, 2, and 3 WRAP education. Any individual who has attended a WRAP seminar or completed WRAP classes AND who has written a personal WRAP plan is eligible to apply to attend the 40-hour WRAP Facilitator's Training course.

LEVEL 5: SHADOWING A FACILITATOR'S TRAINING EVENT
Adult WRAP Class: Open only to persons age 18 and over.

Level 5 WRAP education is completed by 'shadowing' a trainer at a Level 4 Facilitators Training event. Upon successful completion of Level 5 WRAP education, an individual receives a certificate as a WRAP and Recovery Educator. This individual will have completed all five levels of WRAP education, is an experienced facilitator, and has consistently demonstrated the values and ethics of WRAP. An individual who successfully completes Level 5 WRAP education to become a WRAP and Recovery Educator, would then become eligible to be considered as trainer for future facilitators training events. These individuals also provide coaching for other WRAP Facilitators and provide technical assistance for agencies who are implementing WRAP.
